Zrobiłam osobno koszyczki i paski do nich.

I only made two. Two little crochet baskets. They could be nice Easter decorations or mini-egg cups. They could be baskets for crochet sheep. I made baskets and starched them in sugar syrup. I did the same with the strap. When everything was dry I glued the straps to the baskets and varnished everything. Now the baskets are as hard as stone. If you like them, I share my patterns with you. They are from old French crochet magazines.

Candy, prezent od Marty i serwetka/Candy, gift from Marta and doily

Gratuluje! Proszę o bardzo szybkie nadesłanie adresu. Dziekuję wszystkim  za uczestnictwo! Nie spodziewałam się aż tak ogromnego zainteresowania!
Today, on this very warm and sunny day in England, it is finally time to draw the winner of my Candy. Many of you would like to be a winner, but there is only one winner. One from 83 people (82 on my blog and 1 on facebook). My spring candy with the things on the picture, but not just is going to NACZYNIE_GLINIANE! Congratulations! Please e-mail me your address immediately.

A few days ago the postman came with something great from Marta. Marta is very talented! Her gifts for me- handmade cards – are great! She made beautiful cards! I couldn’t stop looking at them, and wondering at how amazing they are! Fantastic gift! Thank you, Marta!

I już kończąc dzisiejszy wpis, pragnę pokazać wam fajną serwetkę. Znalazłam ten wzór już dość dawno temu gdzieś w internecie. To serwetka -królik.

At the end of today, I would like to show you a funny doily. I found this pattern a long time ago somewhere on the internet. It’s a rabbit doily. I think, after some strong starching, it could be nice decoration to hang up. The pattern is below. Have a nice week!

Szydełkowa serwetka-wzór/Crochet doily-pattern

Witajcie!
Kwiecień. Wiosna. Wielkanoc. Ogród i dużo, dużo więcej rzeczy do zrobienia. W tym miesiącu naprawdę jestem bardzo zajęta. Przyznaję, uwielbiam być zajęta. Dziś jednak pokażę wam kolejną serwetkę. Wzór pochodzi z jednego z polskich szydełkowych magazynów i dzielę się nim z wami. Bardzo szybko mi się robiło tą serwetkę. Tymczasem życzę wam przyjemnego dnia (u nas ostatnio pięknie, ciepło i słonecznie, więc pewnie za moment wpadnę w wir pracy w moim magicznym ogrodzie). Przypominam o moim candy!

Hi everybody!
April. Spring. Easter. Garden and more, more things to do. I am very, very busy this month. But the true is -I like to be busy. Today, I would like to show you again one crochet doily. The pattern is from polish crochet magazin, and I share it with you below the picture. Have a lovely day (we have pretty, warm sunny day so... I can do many things in my magic garden)! I remind about my candy!

Szydełkowa kamizelka/Crochet vest

Witajcie!

Welcome!
Yesterday I finished it! A vest for my youngest girl. I only had 150 grammes of this thread, but it was enough. It is fastened with one button, which is under a crochet flower. I made up the pattern, but I drew the basic for you. Have a nice day!

Szydełkowe owce i nie tylko/Crochet sheep and not only

Before I tell you about my Easter sheep, I’d like to tell you something else. I don’t very often go on picasa, but yesterday I did. I was very surprised when I saw my crochet angel in one album. I am not angry. Not at all, because I gave this pattern for everybody, and everybody knows that it’s my design. This angel was a runner up in one of the crafts magazines and I wrote about it on this blog. I understand that some of you use picasa for store different patterns. That’s ok, but… I was very sad and disappointed when I saw my angel without the name of my blog. This person cropped out the name of my blog (here is this album). Can I ask why? I don’t think this is fair.

This is an easy to make Easter sheep. In Poland we use sheep like this as an Easter decoration, but you can use it your own way. This pattern isn’t my design. This design comes from Wiki. Wiki is a very talented person and very kind. She gave me permission to write about this pattern in English for you. She also drew a diagram pattern on her blog, just here.

Ok. I can’t tell you what size of crochet hook we use and what kind of wool, because I used three different threads. The biggest sheep are made from thick wool, the smallest one from thin thread.
You need to prepare the batting; cotton wool or something.

We begin with the head. We work in a circle. I am going to use English names for this pattern. But “dc” means double crochet in the UK and single crochet in the US.

Round 1: Wiki suggested making a small ring from 5 chain stitches. I made a loop from one chain stitch and put 8 double crochet stitches in it.

Round2: 1dc, 2dc in the next stitch/4 times- (together we have 12 stitches),
Round3: 1dc, 2dc in the next stitch/6 times- (together we have 18 stitches),
Round 4-10: 1 dc in each stitch
Insert batting
Round 11; 1dc, 1 skip (two stitches together)/6 times- (together we have 12 stitches),
Round 12: 6 skips and fastening

Now’s the time to make the body; remember we are working in an oval shape.
We begin with a foundation chain. Make 11 chain stitches.
Round 1; in the second stitch from the hook make 1dc, 1dc into each of next 8 stitches, 4dc on the next stitch,, 1dc into next 8stitches, 2dc in the next stitch,
Round 2: make 2dc into first stitch, 1dc into 10 next stitches, 2dc into next 2 stitches, 1dc into next 10 stitches, 2dc in the last stitch,
Round 3: 1dc in the first stitch, 2dc into next stitch, 1dc into next 10 stitches, 2dc into next stitch, 1dc into next 2 stitches, 2dc into next stitch, 1dc into next 10 stitches, 2dc into next stitch and 1dc into last stitch,
Round 4: 2dc into first stitch, 1dc into next stitch, 2dc into next stitch, 1dc into next 10 stitches, 2dc into next stitch, 1dc into next stitch, 2dc into next 2 stitches, 1dc into next stitch, 2dc into next stitch, 1dc into next 10 stitches, 2dc into next, 1dc into next and 2dc into last stitch.
Round 5-11: 1 dc into each of 40 stitches,
Round 12; 1 treble crochet in each of 40 stitches.
Base. We make the base exactly in the same way like the body, but only from round 1 to 4.
After that we insert the batting inside of the body and sew the base and the head onto the body. Wiki said that you can put something hard into the base: cardboard or plastic, but I didn’t.

In the end we make two horns. This is very easy. Make 20 chain stitches plus three more stitches. At the fourth stitch from the hook make 1 treble crochet stitch, 2 treble crochet in each of the next 19 stitches. Twist the horn yourself. Sew the horns onto the head.

I embroidered the mouth and glued the googly eyes. I made the flag with the cross from felt and a toothpick. I embroidered the cross.
I really thank you Wiki for this pattern and your permission to translate it into English!

Muszę wam to powiedzieć! Mam ten album! Zobaczcie!

I have to say it! I am very proud of my middle girl! Two years ago, children from many British schools sent their art to something like competition. One very popular publisher wanted to make a pretty book with the best children pictures in England. From all the entries (about 11,000 pictures) they chose about 90 for this book, and my girl’s drawing is there!!! Look! I am very proud of it! Have a nice weekend!
