Aniołowie są bardzo zapracowani - mają więcej roboty, nawet ci na rencie. Gdyby nie to, to by nas diabli wzięli! Powiedział ksiądz Jan Twardowski i trudno z nim się nie zgodzić.
Zapraszam do obejrzenia moich szydełkowych aniołów.
People love angels. I mean those lovely guardian angels that guard our souls, families, and homes. It’s no wonder that in catholic families the first prayer a child learns is the Guardian Angel. I love angels too. God often sent angels down to earth to give special news, God’s thoughts, plans, and warnings to the people that they concerned. Many of my friends have a few pictures or figures of angels. Sometimes they are made of wood, clay, or even paper. They can be varnished, painted, sewn on somewhere, plaited, drawn, knitted, or done using crochet. In fact, I have always wanted to make them for quite a while, but I had thought that they would be difficult to make, it would be hard to find designs that are simple enough, and that I would very soon lose my patience with them. I was wrong. I will be honest – the first angel took me ages, but I got faster and better at them the more I made. Now I create designs of my own and it is my idea of fun. I have not been able to make too many this year, but there will be a few on my Christmas tree and a few for my friends. A little angelic present.
“Angels are hard-working – they all have lots of work to do, even the angels that have retired. If they did not do that work, we would belong to demons! “said Fr. J. Twardowski (polish priest and poet) and it is hard not to agree with him.
